IHF for a Cause Walks for Addiction Recovery
IHF for a Cause is participating in the Shatterproof Rise Up Against Addiction Walk to end the addiction crisis in the United States. The walk is held on October 2nd in Boston or virtually. The IHF for a Cause team will walk and collect donations to support the cause.
SHATTERPROOF
Shatterproof is a national nonprofit organization dedicated to ending the addiction crisis in the United States. Focused on transforming the treatment system in the United States, ending stigma that dehumanizes those with addiction, and supporting families and communities through advocacy, resources, and action.
FIGHTING ADDICTION ONE STEP AT A TIME
Coming together with thousands of others across the country as one community. We are breaking down the stigma faced by those with addiction. We are creating a world where more people can access quality care and recover from this treatable disease.
The walk will make sure every American with a substance use disorder has access to treatment that’s based on proven research. More people get the support they need to lead full and meaningful lives. Because better addiction treatment means more lives saved.
DEVELOPING A PROGRAM TO GIVE BACK
The IHF for a Cause Team was born out of a commitment to make positive impact within our communities and beyond. Founded on the concept “leave the world a little better than we found it”, the IHF For a Cause program was created to support charities that are near and dear to us. Throughout the year, Ironhorse Funding will choose non-profit organizations to support as part of the program.
Update #1
The IHF for a Cause team was able to raise $770 so far for the addiction recovery program Shatterproof. Donations are still coming in and our Texas office walks to October 22nd.
